Supermarket giant Aldi unveils the bargain bucket £4 school uniform
The top-to-toe outfit is the cheapest on Britain's high streets costing the same as a pint
HIGH Street favourite Aldi today unveiled the UK's lowest-priced school uniform at just £4 for a top-to-toe outfit.
The popular budget store's 'Back To School' range costs up to 74 per cent LESS than other high street retailers.
In Aldi's uniform range, a round neck sweater costs just £1.25, a two-pack of polo shirts is £1.25 and a school skirt or trousers comes to just £1.50.
The range, in ages 4 to 11, has already been praised in independent tests for its toughness and quality.
At Tesco's the same items will set parents back £8.50 - meaning parents can save 53 per cent if they shop at Aldi.
Not surprisingly, Marks & Spencers has a more expensive uniform range with the same items adding up to £15.20.
Sainsbury's offers the same items - a round neck sweater, a skirt or trousers and a pack of three polo shirts, for £12.50.
Tony Baines, managing director for corporate buying at Aldi, said: "Our £4 uniform offers great value and incredible quality.
"The price and quality reassurance means we can give parents the chance to put aside any worries about expensive new uniforms.
"And mums and dads can get everything sorted before the summer holidays even begin - something our customers have told us they love.
"The Aldi school uniform package costs the same across all sizes and can be bought on our website as well as in our stores.
"It couldn't be easier for parents to stock up on this great-value, excellent quality range."
Aldi's back to school collection will be in stores from Thursday, July 14 while stocks last and can be pre-ordered online from July 7.
