Hollywood liberal George Clooney slams ‘carnival barker’ Trump and rips Republicans who have stood by him
HOLLYWOOD liberal George Clooney slammed "carnival barker" Donald Trump and ripped Republicans who have stood by him.
Clooney's remarks came during an interview with , where he referred to Ted Cruz as being a "yutz" for sticking by after he insulted his wife and his father.
"They think people will travel with them because, 'I've stuck with you, Don,' but the truth is, they wont," Clooney said.
In response, Trump tweeted a side-by-side picture of his wife and Cruz's wife Heidi, with a caption reading, "No need to 'spill the beans," Trump wrote.
"The images are worth a thousand words."
“Donald, you’re a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone,” Cruz replied.
"Donald, real men don't attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life."
That same year in a separate occasion, Trump accused Cruz's father, Rafael Cruz, of helping John F. Kennedy's assassin Lee Harvey Oswald murder the president.
“His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being - you know, shot. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous,” Trump told at the time.
“What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it.
“I mean, what was he doing - what was he doing with Lee Harvey Oswald shortly before the death? Before the shooting? “It’s horrible," Trump added.
