Despite admitting killing and raping the teen, he and twisted neighbour Luke Harlow denied holding her captive.

This week they were both convicted of false imprisonment at Nottingham Crown Court and will be sentenced together on Friday.

The jury heard how tragic Kayleigh fought for her life and smashed her killer in the face with a brick as Beadman led her to her death.

Police released a mugshot of Beadman's face covered in scratches from when brave Kayleigh fought back.

Rage like a volcano

BEADMAN would often fly into uncontrollable rages, his step-brother revealed.
John Shipley, 20, said: “If anyone ever said no to him he would erupt like a volcano.”
John had lived in fear of the thug for years when his dad Andrew lived with the would-be killer's mum Lisa and they had a daughter together.
Beadman once punched a hole in a wall after his mum told him to change the TV channel.
John, of Market Harborough, Leics, said: "Stephen was completely hateful towards me at every moment I was with him.
"Dad told me to just steer clear of him as much as I could because everyone knew he was trouble.
"Beadman would sit in a room saying nothing but his attitude and vile stare would chill the place.
"I never knew him to have a girlfriend or show any interest in girls and people thought he might be gay.
“He was always a disaster waiting to happen because of his temper.”
John said "sicko" Beadman also had vile habits that disgusted his mother and other siblings.
He said :"He was a disgusting creature who only though of himself.
"When his mother bought in the shopping Beadman would grab any new packet of chocolate biscuits and deliberately lick every one of them in front of the rest of us and put them back in the packet so he would have them all to himself.
"He would also deliberately spit in any new carton of orange juice so we couldn't drink it. He would laugh while he was doing it."

Witnesses had seen her fleeing into the night "half naked" before he dragged her to woodland near a railway track and battered her to death with a rock.

Harlow had already admitted grooming the schoolgirl with sexually charged messages on Facebook and lured her to meet them at his home.

The evil pair had denied holding her prisoner, saying Kayleigh was there of her free will.

Chief Crown Prosecutor Janine Smith said: "The death of Kayleigh Haywood was devastating.

"She suffered a terrifying ordeal at the hands of Stephen Beadman.

"She was only in that position because she had been groomed by Luke Harlow before being kept against her will.

"Beadman callously raped and took the life of an innocent teenage girl.

"Harlow pursued a succession of under-age girls in a sinister manner, talking about 'kidnapping' them and making them 'slaves'.

"I would like to offer my heartfelt sympathy to Kayleigh's family and I hope the conviction of these highly dangerous men will in some way help them start to cope with their loss."
