Couple called Mr & Mrs White-Christmas gifted Caribbean honeymoon for making the nation smile
A COUPLE called Mr & Mrs White-Christmas make sure their days are merry and bright — on honeymoon in the sunny Caribbean.
Kieran White and Tilly Christmas, both 20, of Bridport, Dorset, wed last month.
And for making the nation smile, Virgin Atlantic gifted them the Antigua trip just before the latest travel curbs.
Virgin Atlantic said: “2020 has been tough for so many but we are all grateful to those that brought us a much-needed smile.
“When we read about the White-Christmas wedding, we wanted to say thank you by sending them on the dream honeymoon they missed out on due to the pandemic and where better than the idyllic island of Antigua?”
Tilly, a third-year university student, said: “We couldn’t believe it when Virgin Atlantic told us they were taking us away on our honeymoon.
“After a crazy year, we’re so happy our wedding and the fact we’re the only White-Christmases (as far as we know!) brought a glimpse of joy to the nation.”
Kieran, who has been working on the front line for a supermarket, added: “We had the best time celebrating in Antigua – we honestly didn’t think we’d make it away on a honeymoon this year so this is the best Christmas present we could have wished for - and just before these tough new restrictions.”
The White-Christmases jetted off to stay at Sandals Grande Antigua Resort & Spa.
The couple visited Antigua's scenic lookout of Shirley Heights and enjoyed a spot of kayaking and sailing in the Caribbean.
