Angry giraffe charges truck loaded with tourists on safari as driver swerves out of its path in terrifying chase
THIS is the terrifying moment an angry giraffe chased a truck load of tourists away from its grazing spot.
The incredible footage, shot by Dicken Muchena during a safari of Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya, sees the huge animal charge at the vehicle.
But - surprisingly - the tourists seem unfazed and laugh as the giraffe speeds towards them.
The wild animal - which can reach top speeds of up to 40mph over short distances - then overtakes the truck and gets in front of it as the driver swerves out of its path.
Teacher and photographer Muchena claims the giraffe came so close to the vehicle that it "almost stepped" on it.
"The giraffe seemed harmless at first - but all of a sudden it turned foul and chased us from its natural habitat," he added.
"It even tried to block our exit at one point - but we managed to get away.
"It was certainly a scary adventures."
Luckily, no one is believed to have been injured during the incident on December 9 - which tourist Muchena has described as "unforgettable".
Giraffes are known for towering over Africa's plains, and can grow up to 18ft in height and weigh up to a whopping 3,000lbs.
