Andrew, of Portsmouth, was unable to attend the French court but his son Harry was at the trial and broke down as harrowing footage was shown.

Kossov, 34, got ten years and Ivkine, also 34, was given three after being convicted of their roles in the brutal beating.

Andrew was hit by a chair and kicked and punched to the ground in clashes in Marseille, where the teams met.

A French cop saved his live with CPR after his heart stopped.

Last night Harry, speaking through his lawyer Olivier Rosato, told The Sun: “'It was about getting justice and now these men are in jail where they belong.”

Mr Rosato, who is insisting both serve their sentences fully in a French jail, told the court Russian mobs with weapons and using martial arts were “there to kill’’.

Andrew was in a coma after at least three blows to the head.

Scotland Yard used footage and Russian social media to ID Kossov and Ivkine.

They were held in Germany travelling to watch Spartak Moscow play.
