Paedo admits to coaxing more than 11,000 kids into sex acts by using fake social media accounts to pose as teen boy

A PAEDOPHILE who targeted more than 11,000 kids as young as eight using fake social media accounts today faces jail.
Dean Farrar, 50, lured girls into chatting online by pretending he was a teen boy. He then demanded they send explicit photos or watch while he pleasured himself.
He tried to claim that his vile crimes only started when he suffered a head injury in a car crash but later admitted his guilt in the face of overwhelming evidence.
Jonathan Turner, prosecuting, at Manchester’s Minshull Street crown court said Farrar’s crimes were uncovered in October 2014 when a 14-year-old girl was contacted by a boy calling himself “Dean Smythe” who was asking if she would watch him perform a sex act.
The horrified teen quickly passed the iPad to her mum who called the police who traced Farrar to his home in Rochdale, Gtr Manchester.
Cops seized his phone and computers and discovered various fake social media accounts on Kik, Skype, Xava Yak and Oovoo.
Mr Turner said: “The examination of the defendant’s phone recovered over 11,000 conversations using various chat applications. There were no normal text conversations, for example with friends or family.
“The majority of these conversations involved the defendant contacting children around the world or sharing images with other offenders.
“His contact list extended to approximately 11,000 individual child contacts across the globe.”

Mr Turner told the court that the two most serious offences involved Farrar encouraging girls as young as ten and 12 to insert objects into their private parts.
He said: “The offending history goes back to 2011 and the defendant pretended to be a teenage boy between the ages of 14 and 16 and he has also been acting as a young female to contact young boys and other females.”
Farrar targeted one girl who was just eight-years-old by sending her a picture of a 14-year-old boy.
He asked if they could meet at KFC and then started asking for her to send pictures to him of her without a top on.
In one message the child said: “Do u love me or something coz u wanted me to take me top off.”
When she finally did send him a photo, Farrah threatened to send it to all her friends if she did not agree to watch him pleasure himself.
The court heard that 19 video clips were also recovered from Farrar’s mobile phone that show young girls in a swimming pool changing room.
Police believe Farrar shared the images with other paedos, “introducing new indecent images into the criminal community which may go on to be shared for years to come.”
A total of 1,432 indecent images and extreme pornography were found on his mobile phone, including extreme porn showing women having sex with dogs and horses.
Farrar admitted 41 charges including making indecent photos of kids.
He is to be sentenced today.
