Olympic athlete Iwan Thomas ‘battered & bruised’ after motorway car crash
OLYMPIC runner Iwan Thomas was hurt when his stationary car was hit on a motorway.
He said he had pulled over when a car crashed into his motor at 50mph, leaving him “battered and bruised”.
The 46-year-old British 400m runner — who competed at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and won gold at the European and Commonwealth championships — said he is still shaken up.
He went on: “Unfortunately the car is gone, that’s written off. Thank goodness my son Teddy wasn’t in the car.
“What a year 2020’s been. Absolutely hate it.”
Thomas said he was just glad his toddler son Teddy wasn't with him.
