Police quiz mum who abandoned her five-year-old daughter more than 90 miles from home
The little girl was abandoned at a seaside rail station before being found and taken into care
THE mum of a five-year-old girl found abandoned at a seaside rail station more than 90 miles from her home was last night being quizzed by police.
Onlookers saw the distressed tot wandering alone on Friday afternoon.
Police in Brighton said she had earlier arrived by train with a woman, believed to be her mum.
CCTV showed them visiting a station toilet before walking into the city.
The youngster was later seen on her own and handed over to social services.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said that the mother of the five-year-old found abandoned had been traced to her home address in Greater London.
"The little girl is now in the care of social services. Further inquiries are continuing in co-operation with the Metropolitan Police, which is now leading the investigation.
"Members of the public saw the girl sitting on a bench alone at the bus stop near to the Ibis Hotel, just down from the station, at 12.52pm."
