Furious hubby takes revenge on ‘unfaithful’ wife by sending work email from her phone admitting affair
Chris Stevens, 42, masqueraded as wife and sent message to colleagues claiming she was sleeping with sales boss
A FURIOUS husband took revenge on his wife over a suspected office affair by emailing everyone at the “cheating” pair’s company using her phone.
Chris Stevens, 42, masqueraded as his wife Emily after hacking her account to circulate the “confession” — claiming she had been sleeping with married sales boss Simon Smith.
Chris Stevens and his wife Emily have a young daughter together
He is understood to have dumped 34-year-old Emily. Dad-of-two Simon’s wife Nicola, 40, is believed to have given him the boot.
Chris contacted Emily’s workmates after accessing her email through her iPhone.
He titled his message “sleeping around”. It read: “Hi all, I thought you might like to know that I’ve been f*****g Simon Smith in the Manchester office for 6 months.
“Even when my husband caught me twice I lied to his face and convinced him to give me another chance. Just thought you’d like to know what sort of person you work with. Happy Friday!”
Emily and Simon, 43, work for discount holiday firm Travelzoo.
Simon seemed to be a family man
London-based Emily started with the company nearly two years ago and works as a £47,000-a-year sales manager.
Simon is the £60,000 head of hotel sales at the Manchester office and has been there three years.
The email went to both offices, which employ around 25 people.
Simon is understood to have been booted out of the £220,000 semi he shared with teacher Nicola in Oldham. The pair, who married 17 years ago, have two children.
A source said: “They’re childhood sweethearts so the news of the email has come as a real shock.
“I can’t believe it. Nobody would have thought it. Simon was always telling everyone at work how much of a family man he is and how he’s a doting dad.”
Emily, who uses her maiden name Mitchell at work, lives in a four-bedroom £800,000 terrace in St Albans, Herts, with husband of five years Chris, a media executive.
The pair have a young daughter.
When asked by The Sun about the message, sent from Emily’s email to the company’s address, Chris declined to comment.
Nicola, Simon and Emily also did not comment. Last night, a Travelzoo spokesman said: “Travelzoo views this as a personal matter between the individuals involved. We do not wish to comment further.”
Travelzoo is a global company advertising holiday deals from more than 2,000 travel and entertainment companies.
It has 25 offices around the world
