THIS is the appalling moment a mum risks her two kids lives by taking a shortcut across a busy dual carriageway.
Stomach-churning footage shows the woman lead a toddler and baby in a pram through a small gap in a central reservation as traffic thunders past them at both sides.
She can be seen talking to the pre-school child in scenes caught on a dashcam on the Mancunian Way in central Manchester on Tuesday.
A witness said the woman lifted the tiny tot over the barrier before going through herself with her baby.
The family were walking inches from cars going at up to 40mph.
An HGV driver who captured the footage, who asked not to be named, said: “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
“I was coming over the fly-over and saw the woman lift the kid over the barrier.
“The child was smaller than the barrier, she couldn’t see over it.
“There were cars whizzing past, accelerating up to 50mph. It was unbelievable.
“It was so dangerous. The video shows a BMW driving past the child, she could have so easily been hit.”
