Two terror fanatics released & three more set to follow in just weeks

TWO terror fanatics have been released on to our streets — and three more will follow in weeks.

One jihadi already out of jail is Moinul Abedin, Britain’s first al-Qaeda inspired bomber.

Abedin, 45, was freed from a 20-year term imposed in 2012 after police found bomb-making gear at his home

It comes despite the UK threat level being raised to “severe” this month and arrests for terror-related offences at a ten-year low.

Abedin, 45, was freed from a 20-year term imposed in 2012 after police found bomb-making gear at his home.

And Shazib Khan, 27, was released after serving half an eight-year term for trying to go to Syria to join IS.

Jihadist plotter Yusuf Sarwar, 28, who did go, is set to apply for release next month.

Fellow IS schemer Mohammed Zahir Khan, 42, is also up before parole officials soon.

Meanwhile, Osama Bin Laden’s right-hand man Abdel Bary, 60, is due to be extradited from the US.

He got 25 years for his part in al-Qaeda US embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania in 1998 that killed 224 and has just been let out.

Fiyaz Mughal, founder of anti-terror group Tell MAMA, warned: “We can’t think terrorists will take a break because Covid is engulfing our thoughts.”

Samuel Armstrong, of the Henry Jackson Society terror watchdog, added: “We’re leaving the door dangerously ajar for another atrocity.”
