Four England fans spotted supporting Iceland at Euro 2016…wearing Iceland supermarket bags as footie shirts
Fellow fans were left bemused by the England fans' disguises
ICELAND has gained new supporters with suspected England fans spotted disguising them with Iceland supermarket bags as football shirts.
A photo of the fans was snapped at the Portugal versus Iceland football match in Saint-Étienne, France with fellow fans left bemused by the makeshift uniforms.
Gus Rodrigues, 23, had travelled from London to watch the match and took the photo during the 1-1 draw.
Gus said: “The moment I saw them I thought it was really funny. They must have brought the bags with them all the way from England as I don't think the shop exists over here.
“So it was quite well planned by them. It is very odd – they even had their faces painted with Iceland flags too.
“I think they were just doing it for banter but people around them didn't seem to realise why they were dressed like that. They were sat in a mixed area but there were far more Portuguese fans around them to be honest.

“There weren't really any English people around them so they probably didn't realise it was a shop or get the joke.
“I didn't expect England fans to be at the game so I thought it was hilarious. They cheered for them through the whole match from what I saw. They seemed very into it, getting up on their feet all the time and so on.”
Gus, who had gone to the match with his step-dad Patrick and brother Gabriel, said there were four fans in total wearing the makeshift outfits.
Gus said: "You would have thought they would have just bought shirts but they clearly wanted to be funny.
"The match was a draw. I support Portugal in the Euros as my step-dad is Portuguese but I am originally from Brazil so I would usually support them. But I was upset at the result especially after Portugal went in the lead at first.
"The undercover England fans seemed very happy with the result though, especially since Iceland were very much the underdogs."
