Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab forced to self-isolate after coming into contact with Covid sufferer

DOMINIC Raab has been forced to self-isolate for a fortnight after coming into contact with someone who has Covid.

It is a major blow to the Foreign Secretary ahead of a key week of diplomatic relations following the US presidential election.

Dominic Raab has been forced to self-isolate after coming into contact with a Covid-19 sufferer but will work remotely

He will have to communicate with his team and US counterparts from home.

A Foreign Office spokesman said: “The Foreign Secretary was today informed that an individual with whom he has been in recent close contact with has tested positive for Coronavirus.

“In line with Government regulations and NHS Track and Trace rules, the Foreign Secretary has taken immediate steps to self-isolate for the required period.

“He will continue to work remotely during this time.”
