Ryan Giggs ‘assaulted girlfriend and another woman during furious row’
FOOTBALL boss Ryan Giggs is being investigated by police on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend and another woman.
The Sun told this week how the former Manchester United ace, 46, was arrested for allegedly hitting out at girlfriend Kate Greville during a furious row.
Wales manager Giggs denies any wrongdoing but police have confirmed their probe is linked to claims he committed actual bodily harm on Kate — and common assault on a second woman, who is believed to be a relative of hers.
Both women have been interviewed by cops and bodycam footage from the arresting officers will also be examined.
Meanwhile, Giggs’s estranged dad Danny Wilson, 65, yesterday claimed his son was innocent.
He said: “Ryan may be a womaniser but he’s not violent.”
Giggs and Kate, 36, are said to have argued at his £1.7million home in Worsley, Greater Manchester, over her fears he had cheated with two other women.
He spent Sunday night in a police station before being interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
The couple met while Kate was working on the PR for his Hotel Football business venture.
He split from wife Stacey in 2016 after it emerged the love rat had been romping for eight years with brother Rhodri’s wife Natasha.
At the same time, Giggs had a fling with Big Brother’s Imogen Thomas.
Giggs went public with Kate when the pair were pictured holidaying in Italy in August 2018 — eight months after his divorce from Stacey.
Kate is now staying with relatives having moved belongings out of Giggs’s mansion.
The Football Association of Wales announced on Tuesday that he would step down from his role as national team manager for the next three fixtures.
It was unaware of the incident involving Giggs until our reporter asked for a comment.
