Carl Lentz's wife Laura is an Australian pastor known for her work within the Hillsong Church.
She graduated from Hillsong Leadership College in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
Shortly after, she moved to New York City and became the Lead Pastor of Hillsong East Coast Church.
On November 4, 2020, the church announced its decision to fire Carl.

At the time, the pastor told his Instagram followers: "When you accept the calling of being a pastor, you must live in such a way that it honors the mandate.
"That it honors the church, and that it honors God. When that does not happen, a change needs to be made and has been made in this case to ensure that the standard is upheld.
"I was unfaithful in my marriage, the most important relationship in my life and held accountable for that.
"This failure is on me, and me alone and I take full responsibility for my actions."

An insider also revealed to The Sun that Laura's employment was terminated as well.
"Laura was fired at the same time as Carl. She, of course, seemed devastated as this was just the cherry on top of this whole ordeal for her," the source mentioned.
"If a married couple both work at the church and one of them is terminated, they both will be fired immediately.
"That was their reasoning for having to also get rid of Laura for Carl's mistakes."
How did Carl and Laura Lentz meet?
Carl and Laura Lentz met while attending Hillsong College, the church’s training program, in 2000.
Two years later, Laura quit Australia to move Stateside with Carl.
On May 5, 2003, the two tied the knot and expanded their family soon after.
Carl and Laura share three children together; two daughters named Ava and Charlie, as well as a son named Roman.
