Mum-of-two’s terror as black-clad gang attack families and shoot fireworks into homes through windows
A MOTHER-OF-TWO was left terrified after a gang clad in black attacked families and shot fireworks into homes over the weekend.
The youths are said to have terrorised a Manchester street as families who were out and about were attacked with fireworks.
Others at home were targeted by the troublemakers when rockets were shot through windows on Saturday night.
Several victims said they were threatened and had rockets fired in their direction.
Residents say the youth were dressed in all back and were riding on scooters.
They also believe the gang may be responsible for all the disturbance that went on in the area at the weekend.
Nicole Thompson, a mum of two spotted the youths outside her home around 7:50 pm.
She told : “I was outside my house having a cigarette and I heard a couple young voices.
“A few seconds later, I heard loud bangs and flashes of orange, I looked around the corner of my house and there were two young lads setting off fireworks in the middle of the road – right next to a car and outside people’s houses.”
She said she run back into her house to lock her doors while hoping she was not seen as she did not want to be targeted by the gang.
Shortly after, she was told they were also spotted setting off fireworks at a bus stop where an old lady was sitting.
“One neighbour further down the street said she had her bedroom window open and a firework had gone right through into the bedroom,” according to Nicole.
At around 9:15 pm that same night, a witness said a mother and daughter had to take cover when a gang of “around 15 lads” shot fireworks at them.
A young teacher and her father in his 60s say they were also attacked that evening with fireworks.
