Heartbroken husband of MP Jo Cox posts poignant Tweet revealing he took their children camping in her memory

MURDERED MP Jo Cox's husband took their two children camping last night under the stars to remember their mother who "loved camping".
Brendan Cox posted posted a tweet about their night on Sunday morning, as churchgoers in her home village of Birstall, West Yorkshire were told she was a "21st century Good Samaritan".
Mr Cox wrote: "Jo loved camping. Last night the kids & I camped in her memory and remembered the last time we were all woken by the dawn chorus #MoreInCommon."
Sources said Brendan, 37, was keen to spend time with the children alone and to remember fondly outdoor-loving Jo beneath the stars.
The MP was shot and stabbed outside her constituency surgery in Birstall on Thursday afternoon and died a few hours later.
Since then a Go Fund Me page set up by her friend and publicised by husband Brendan has raised more than £600,000 for charities that were close to the mum-of-two's heart - helping civilians caught up in the Syrian war, to fight racism and extremism in the UK and to help residents of her Batley and Spen constituency.
The fundraising page was set up by friend Tim Dixon, who told : "We just wanted to be able to do something like Jo would - something practical, something that would bring people together.
"It's incredibly touching to see the way people have responded so far. GoFundMe has never seen a a response like this. I'm absolutely stunned."

Mr Cox showed his support for the fundraising effort in a tweet on Saturday night, writing: "The outpouring of love to our family has been humbling. Thank you. And for supporting her causes #MoreInCommon"
At St Peter's Church in Birstall today, the Rev Paul Knight told the congregation said Mrs Cox's "humanity was powerful and compelling and we would do well to recognise her as an amazing example - a 21st century Good Samaritan".
He added: "Jo was someone who went out of her way to help others.
"I regret to say I didn't know what she was like as a girl but she grew into a fervent advocate for the poor and oppressed."

Yesterday afternoon the MP's sister Kim Leadbetter told a crowd of hundreds at a makeshift memorial that they should "focus on what which unites us and not which divides us".
Cricketers also held a minute's silence at the T20 match between Yorkshire and Derbyshire in Leeds.
Ms Leadbeater, who visited the site with parents Gordon and Jean Leadbeater and other family members, said her sister had remained positive, despite the abuse she sometimes received on social media.
She urged people to continue to speak out as they had since her death, saying: "Over the last 48 hours, people have not been silent.
"They have been vocal and passionate and have spoken from the heart. Genuine emotion with no hidden agenda. Jo would have loved it."
Ms Leadbeater added: "For now, our family is broken but it will mend in time and we will never let Jo leave our lives.
"She will live on through all the good people in the world, through (husband) Brendan, through us and through her truly wonderful children, who will always know what an utterly amazing woman their mother was.
"She was a human being. She was perfect."
