GARY Lineker has revealed he housed a refugee in his £4million home for a month.
The Match of the Day host, 59, showed a letter the migrant — named Rasheed — gave him, thanking him for the stay at his “beautiful home”.
Gary made the kind gesture through charity Refugees at Home after critics attacked him for defending migrants coming to the UK, suggesting he should house some himself in his Surrey mansion.
Speaking to GQ magazine, Gary said: “The strange argument was, ‘Why don’t you have them in your house, then?’.
“Having had that constantly thrown at me for years, I thought, ‘Why wouldn’t I?’
"My kids are in their 20s. It was a really positive experience.
“It’s been fascinating and a real education for my boys as well.
"Because obviously they’re privileged, but then to hear this guy’s story.

“And he was brilliant with them. I’ll definitely do it again.”
Rasheed’s letter read: “During my stay at your beautiful home, I never felt that I am a stranger or guest but it seemed as if I am a member of your family.
"I can never forget your hospitality, love and company.”
The Sun Says
PROPS to Gary Lineker for inviting a refugee to stay in his family home.
Too many celebrities are well-versed in social media compassion, but can’t face compromising their luxury lifestyles when push comes to shove.
In selflessly giving up a bedroom for the refugee, the Match of The Day star has proved he’s in a different league. Well played, Gary.
