Borat 2 – ‘Maskini’-clad character makes hilarious appearance on Brit landmarks ahead of film release
BORAT had made hilarious appearances on major landmarks across the country - but the stunt wasn't popular with everyone.
Sacha Baron Cohen's comical character was projected onto famous sites around the country with the slogan: "Wear mask. Save live."
And he posed up wearing nothing but a face mask covering his modesty.
But the National Trust has slammed the 'defacement' of the Cerne Abbas Giant chalk figure - after it was given a mankini.
The 180ft figure in Dorset had a huge face mask placed over its genitals.
But furious officials at the charity - which protects the hillside - said they did not give anyone permission to alter the figure.
A National Trust spokesman said: "We do not encourage the defacing of the Cerne Abbas Giant as any such action may damage this fragile site, whether by someone physically attaching something to him or giving the impression of having done so, may encourage others.
"The giant is protected as both a Scheduled Ancient Monument and as part of a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of its important chalk grassland which supports wild flowers, butterflies and other wildlife."
The hillside figure was given to the National Trust a century ago in 1920.
Borat also appeared at Edinburgh Castle, the Tower of London, the Angel of the North and Arthur's Seat.
The mask has since been removed from the Cerne Abbas Giant.
Earlier this week, a huge inflatable Borat was floated down the River Thames in London.
It comes ahead of today's release of the fictional Kazakh's new film Subsequent Moviefilm.
It will be released on Amazon Prime.
The streaming service shared the promo snaps on their social media.
Their photo from Arthur's Seat pic had the caption: "We would... sanitise after Borat sits in Arthur’s Seat ."
The image of Edinburgh Castle was captioned: "BREAKING: Edinburgh Castle receives surprise (comedy) royalty visitor."
The new film is the follow-up to Cohen's 2006 hit 'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan'.
It sees the titular fictitious Kazakh journalist return to the US on a mission to offer his daughter to US vice president Mike Pence.
And this week, Baron Cohen jokingly defended Rudy Giuliani's hidden film moment by saying it was "innocent sexy time with a 15-year-old."
The actor defended "America's mayor" by saying the hotel scene in which .
In the film, Giuliani appears to be caught on tape flirting with a woman introduced as Borat's 15-year-old daughter Tutar.
Bulgarian actress , 24, who plays Tutar, conducted the bogus interview for a fake conservative news program in the film.
In the leaked clip, Tutar suggests Giuliani join her for a drink in the hotel suite rigged with with hidden cameras.
And Baron Cohen has now appeared again as Borat to comment on the clip.
He said: "What was an innocent sexy time encounter between a consenting man and my 15-year-old daughter has been turned into something disgusting by fake news media."
