Hundreds become 'victims of scam' as LA Weddings and Events announce they are going into liquidation
SCORES of brides were left in tears today after their wedding dreams were dashed when the firm arranging their big days went bust without warning.
To the horror of hundreds of would-be husbands and wives, LA Weddings and Events, based in Whittlesey, near Peterborough, announced they are going into liquidation.
Teacher Nicole 28, of Chigwell, Essex, said they now had no money left to pay for their August do.
She added: “It is horrible. It is stressful planning a wedding then someone takes your money and we can’t do anything about it.”
