FBI ‘has seized Hunter Biden’s laptop and believes that Ukraine, crack and sex files are NOT Russian disinformation’
THE FBI is reportedly in possession of Hunter Biden's infamous laptop containing emails that reveal his foreign business dealings in Ukraine – as well as alleged compromising photos involving sex acts and crack cocaine use.
FBI and Justice Department officials also concurred with an assessment from Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, who claimed the laptop is not part of a Russian disinformation campaign, according to .
Biden's laptop has been the subject of a media storm over recent days, after the published a "smoking-gun" email that it alleged reveals how Hunter Biden introduced his father to a Ukrainian businessman, Vadym Pozharskyi, when Joe Biden was Vice President.
Some Republicans have claimed that the elder Biden then pressured government officials in Ukraine to fire a prosecutor investigating Burisma, an energy firm Pozharskyi was an advisor to and Hunter Biden was on the board of.
The Biden campaign has strongly denied these claims.
'SMOKING-GUN' EMAIL
The laptop is also reported to contain a 12-minute video that appears to show Hunter smoking crack while engaged in a sex act with an unidentified woman, as well as numerous other sexually explicit images.
Democrats such as House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff have claimed that the leaked information was part of a Russian disinformation campaign, but on Monday, Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe denied these claims.
NO RUSSIAN CAMPAIGN
Ratcliffe said: "Let me be clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that.
"And we have shared no intelligence with Adam Schiff, or any member of Congress.”
He added: "It’s funny that some of the people who complain the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing the intelligence.
"Unfortunately, it is Adam Schiff who said the intelligence community believes the Hunter Biden laptop and emails on it are part of a Russian disinformation campaign."
The FBI declined to confirm or deny the existence of an investigation into the laptop or the emails, Fox News said, adding that this is standard practice.
The New York Post's report claims that emails obtained, in part, suggested that Joe Biden, at his son's request, met with Pozharskyi, in April 2015 in Washington, D.C.
An email shared by the Post – alleged to be between Pozharskyi and Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015 – appeared to show Pozharskyi thanking Biden inviting him to meet his father.
The email read: "Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure."
DENIED CLAIMS
The Democratic presidential nominee has previously claimed he has never spoken to his son about foreign business dealings, and since the email surfaced, the Biden campaign has denied he ever held a meeting with Pozharskyi.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump demanded that Attorney General Bill Barr should "act fast" and appoint a special counsel to probe Biden before Election Day.
