THIS is the moment a lorry full of immigrants is exposed after being pulled over by police.
Electrician Tom Andrews caught the moment as he passed the Italian truck in Harold Hill, near Romford, Essex, this afternoon.
Eight migrants were discovered in the lorry, including two children and a baby.
The adults were arrested in suspicion of entering the UK illegally.
A police officer, stood in front of the lorry packed with migrants sitting on boxes, shouted: "Do you speak English? Where are you from?"
Men in the lorry replied: "Iraq" and "Kuwait".
A Metropolitan Police spokesman later confirmed the group had been taken into custody.
He added: “Police in Havering were called to Ashton Road, Harold Hill, at approximately 11:30hrs on Wednesday, 15 June, to reports of the sound of banging coming from the back of a lorry.
"Officers opened the cargo container and found 11 people - eight adults and three children - inside.
"No one was injured.
"The eight adults - we await a breakdown - were arrested on suspicion of illegal entry into the UK.
"The children were taken into police protection."
The Home Office has been approached for comment.
The incident comes barely a week before Britain goes to the polls in the EU referendum.
Immigration into the UK is one of the key battlegrounds, with anti-EU groups arguing that the country struggles to police its borders as a member of the union.
-This story has been amended from an earlier version, which said a man in the lorry said he was from Europe.
