Woman pedestrian fighting for her life after ‘drink-driver’ crashed into a house and overturned
Car flipped over before crushing the woman as she was walking home from work
A WOMAN is fighting for her life after being struck down by an alleged drink-driver who flipped his car after crashing into a house.
The 25-year-old motorist was also arrested for driving while disqualified after the horror smash.
His vehicle ploughed into two other parked cars before crashing into the house in Easson Road, Darlington, at roughly 5pm yesterday.
The woman, thought to be in her 40s, was walking home from work when she was crushed by the car after it overturned.

She was taken to Middlesbrough’s James Cook University Hospital and is still in a critical condition.
The driver is in custody at Darlington Police Station.
Sgt Jonathan Morgan, from the CIU said; “We understand there may have been other witnesses, including people who assisted the victim at the scene. If we haven’t already spoken to you, please contact us in the unit so we can get the relevant details.”
