Girl, 16, given certificate on her last day as pupil ‘most likely to appear on Jeremy Kyle’

A SCHOOLGIRL was mortified when her classmates voted her the “most likely” to appear on the Jeremy Kyle show.
Abbie Newbold was given the controversial title during her school’s “most prestigious awards 2016” ceremony on her last day.
The 16-year-old said she went bright red when her named was called and she had to walk to the front of the room in front her entire year group to receive the laminated certificate.
Abbie said the title made her sound like a future “smack head."
The teenager said: “I feel really embarrassed. Loads of people are tagging me in posts on social media about it.
"When they called my name in the classroom everybody started laughing at me.
“I felt like they were making out like I would be a smack head and that. Other pupils voted for me, but I think the teachers thought up the titles.
“My friends think it’s really shocking as well.
"I think the people in my year only voted for me because most of them don’t like me.”
Two of the pupils at Bishopsgarth School in Stockton-on-Tees, Co Durham got the title of “unknown” which Abbie said was just as bad.
“I feel really annoyed with the people in my class for it. I’m really angry about it.
“When I heard my name and the title I felt like oh my God and went all red,” she added about the award she got on Thursday.

Her dad Craig said: “Abbie was embarrassed, it was in front of the whole group.
“People have taken photos and now it’s all over Facebook and Instagram. We have no idea why she got the award.
"People like a laugh but this is unfair and embarrassing for the family too. She’s just not that type of person."
Other students were dubbed “the smartest” or “the quietest”.
However, Abbie thinks the future is looking brighter for her and she plans to prove the haters wrong.
She said: “I’m going to go to college in September to study hairdressing and then I’m hoping to get a year-long apprenticeship in it.”
The school has been contacted for comment but has thus far refused to respond.
