Apple is FINALLY going to let us delete all those rubbish built-in iPhone apps
You'll be able to get rid of the defaults apps TOMORROW and tech fans are delighted
It's a fair bet that few people have decided to load up Apple's Compass app and then enjoy a spot of orienteering.
Likewise, there are probably a select number of people in the world who check the movements of the market using Stocks, but we don't know many of them.
But regardless of whether you use the default programs which come installed on your iPhone, you're stuck with them because Apple won't allow you to delete the cr-apps.
Now this accursed state of affairs is finally about to come to an end as the tech giant prepares to let us bin them for good.
Apple is about about to release the latest version of its operating system for iPad and iPhone, which has all manner of exciting new features.
When it rolls out, we'll finally be able to .
Apple wrote: "If you update to iOS 10, you can remove some built-in apps from the Home screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch."
On its support page, the tech firm made several last pleas to consumers and tried to remind them of the all-round brilliance of their apps.
"The apps built into iOS are designed to be very space efficient, so all of them together use less than 150MB," it pleaded.
The fruity firm has also launched its own small scale Project Fear, warning that there would be moderately dire consequences for any iDiot willing to delete the stock apps.
"When you remove a built-in app from your Home screen, you also remove any related user data and configuration files," Apple warned.
"This can affect things like related system functions or information on your Apple Watch."
Social media mavens welcomed the change.
Apple announced iOS 10 at its annual Worldwide Developers' Conference earlier this year.
Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of Software Engineering, said it was the biggest upgrade to iOS that’s ever been released.
