Turkish newspaper sparks outrage with sick homophobic headline about Orlando
Sick supporters of the crime have condoned the shooting, while homophobic Westboro Baptist Church called it 'an act of God'
A TURKISH newspaper has sparked outrage with a homophobic headline labelling victims of the Orlando massacre "perverts".
Yeni Akit paper, known for its right-wing stance, used the sick headline: "Death toll rises to 50 in bar where perverted homosexuals go."
It comes after 50 people were killed and 53 injured by ISIS fanatic Omar Mateen, 29, in gay club Pulse, Florida.
The paper, which has ties to Turkey's justice and Development Party previously led by President Recep Tayyip Erdegan, has supported Al-Qaeda in the past.
The headline seemingly supports the horror massacre, which President Obama described as an "act of terror and hate".
Around 350 people were thought to be inside the club when the crazed gunman shot the doorman and stormed in.
Mateen, from Port St Lucie, Florida, was armed with an assault rifle and handgun when he opened fire at revellers.
The atrocity is the worst mass-shooting in American history and the biggest terror attack in the US since 9/11.
Obama has said Americans are "united in grief, in outrage and resolve to defend our people".
Hate group Westboro Baptist Church, known for their radical Christian beliefs, also sparked outrage after praising the horror attack.
The group wrote a blog post on their website claiming "God sent the shooter" and quoting extracts from the bible allegedly backing up their belief.
One section read: "Everyone from Barack Obama on down is taking the myopic view that this has something to do with gun control, or Islam, or homophobia, or fill in the blank.
"Here is reality, and make no mistake about this: God sent the shooter. He is the source. He is the fountainhead. He appointed this thing. He is sending you a message."

He said: "Death is the sentence. We know. There's nothing to be embarrassed about this.
"That is the sentence, death is the sentence. The only ways gays and lesbians can be forgiven to die, out of compassion let's get rid of them now."
It came as it emerged the killer had ties to a radical imam released from prison last year, despite prosecutors warning he would recruit people to carry out violent acts.
Mateen followed radical Marcus Dwayne Robertson, claimed a law enforcement source.
He said: "It is no coincidence this happened in Orlando. Mateen was enrolled in [Robertson's online] Fundamental Islamic Knowledge Seminary."
