Terrifying final text conversation mum had with son trapped in Orlando shooting club
HORRIFYING text messages reveal the terror inside the Pulse nightclub in Orlando as a crazed gunman massacred 50 people.
A petrified son messaged his mum to tell him he loved her and detailed how the tragedy unfolded until the messages finally stopped coming.
Mina Justice was outside the gay bar truing to contact her son Eddie who texted her to ask her to call the police.
He told her he had dashed into the bathroom with other clubbers to take cover and then chillingly added “he’s coming”.
The next text read:”he has us, and he’s in here with us” before he stopped replying,
In distressing messages the horror of what was going on in the club was revealed.
Eddie, who has tragically since been confirmed dead, messaged his mum saying “Mommy I love you,” adding “In the club, they shooting.”
When she asked him if he was okay he replied “Trapp in the bathroom.”
Her terrified son than asked his worried mother to call the police before adding “I’m gonna die”.
The texts then stop coming as she frantically sends message after message begging her son to call her or answer his phone.
Eddie was today listed as one of the 50 people who lost their lives in the worst mass-shooting in American history.
Eddie had asked his mum to tell the police he was hiding in the bathroom.
Mina told local TVstation WOFL her son was being held hostage.
She said: “I think it’s all of them in the bathroom. I could hear a lot of people crying.”
“He [Eddie] said, “He has us and he’s fixin to kill us. That was it.”
The worried mum of three didn’t know if her son was alive when she spoke to reporters and he was confirmed dead hours later.
Police have now identified the gunman as US citizen Omar Matten, 29, who killed 50 and injured 53 people in what is being described as a domestic terrorism incident.
Cops have called the tragedy “an act of terrorism” with the US media identifying the killer as ‘Islamic extremist’ Omar Mateen, 29, – an American citizen from Port St. Lucie in Florida whose parents are from Afghanistan.
The savage at the nightclub eclipses the 2007 massacre at Virginia Tech university, which left 32 dead.
The gunman’s father Mir Seddique told that his son became radicalised after seeing two men kissing in Miami.
The venue’s last Facebook message was posted as the tragedy unfolded: “Everyone get out of pulse and keep running”.
At a press conference this morning, police confirmed that multiple people had been killed in the attack, but refused to give an exact number.
Authorities revealed the attacker was carrying an assault rifle, a handgun and “some kind of device”.
