Muhammad Ali’s widow branded ‘evil’ by ex-wife number two a day after champ’s funeral

Boxing legend's second wife jump started family tensions claiming Lonnie Williams isolated Ali from his children

MUHAMMAD Ali’s second wife last night reopened the split within his family a day after the legend’s funeral — by branding his widow “evil”.

Khalilah Ali, wed to the three-time heavyweight champion from 1967 to ’77, held her tongue during emotional memorials for the star.

She rubbed shoulders with his fourth and final wife Lonnie Williams — but today claims the widow blocked The Greatest from seeing his children.

Ali’s only natural son Muhammad Ali Jnr hardly saw his dad in his final years, only visiting his hospital bedside before he died last week aged 74.

Jnr, 43 — one of four kids Khalilah had with Ali — claims he has lived off food stamps for the past decade while struggling to form a relationship with his father.

Ex-actress Khalilah, 66, said: “Lonnie often got in the way of family members getting to Ali. She wanted everything for herself and can be very controlling.

“She’d get in the way of Ali Jnr talking to his father. Who would prevent a man from seeing his own children? In my opinion that is evil.”

Khalilah flew from her Florida home to attend the Louisville funeral of dad-of-nine Ali, who she still calls her “soulmate”.

She divorced the boxer after he had a fling with his later third wife Veronica Porsche, 60. But she said he then cheated with her after he wed Veronica.
