Donald Trump Jr slams CNN star Jake Tapper as a ‘Democrat operative’ after the host ‘told war hero not to run for seat’
DONALD Trump Jr has slammed CNN's Jake Tapper, calling him a “Democrat operative” after a Republican politician accused the anchor of trying to convince him not to run for office.
comments come after Sean Parnell, a veteran who is , accused Tapper of trying to convince him not to run against incumbent Democrat Rep Conor Lamb, .

Trump Jr’s comments quote tweeted a post from Tim Graham, the executive editor of the rightwing blog site Newsbusters, who shared an opinion article condemning a recent interview between Tapper and Democratic presidential nominee .
“CNN's @JakeTapper leads Biden in an anti-Trump hate-fest of an interview, lets Joe LIE about North Korea talks,” Graham wrote.
Parnell recently declared his candidacy for Pennsylvania's 17th congressional district and .
Fox News obtained what is reported to be a direct message Tapper allegedly sent to Parnell, in which Tapper appears to try to convince Parnell of running in a safer district.
“And best of luck in your race. For the record, I wasn’t trying to talk you out of running – I was trying to talk you into running in a safer R district! Lol,” Tapper allegedly wrote.
Richard Grenell, a former acting Director of National Intelligence under , published a screenshot on Thursday of what appears to be a conversation between Grenell and Tapper.
Grenell appears to ask Tapper: “Is it true you asked Sean Parnell to not run against Conor Lamb?”
“Nope,” Tapper appears to respond.

Grenell later condemned CNN for their “bias” while highlighting Tapper’s previous work as a Democrat Capitol Hill staffer.
