'JUST WANT HIM HOME'

Desperate search for missing autistic boy, 3, after mom claims toddler fell from third-floor window and disappeared

THE MOM of a 3-year-old boy who went missing after she claims he fell from a third-floor window and disappeared has pleaded for his safe return.

Dajnae Cox called 911 on Friday to report that her son, Braylen Noble, who is autistic and non-verbal had fallen from the third floor window at the Hunter's Ridge Apartment complex in Toledo, according to Ohio police.

Police have launched a desperate search for the boy

The mother has since broken her silence saying: "If you want to drop him off somewhere, please drop him off to the police station, you can drop him off here."

According to NBC, she added: "I know he's crying, I know you can't get him to stop crying. He's being picky, he's not eating and even if he's scared I won't be mad.

"Please just drop him off to me. I just want him home. That's it."

Cox has been part of the search for the missing boy, handing out flyers with his pictures to the public.

Lt. Dan Gerken said the family is fully cooperating while asking for any tips or information from the public.

He said: "We'll take any information there is and we're following up.

"You see us walking around, checking with more people, re-interviewing people, but anybody with any information about the whereabouts of the young man is asked to call us."

So far, an extensive search by the Toledo police, Toledo Fire and Rescue Department, and Toledo Metroparks has proved futile although they have searched places including trash cans, attics, cars and under buildings.

The FBI, along with the police have put up a $5,000 reward for anyone who has information which will lead them to Braylen.

Kim Sortor, the organizer for the search said: "We're out here until 11, 12 o'clock at night. People are here bringing flashlights.

"We appreciate all the community's support and we're just begging and asking for more people to come out".
