Those who support The Donald can head to TrumpSingles.com to try and find prospective partners with similar political views.

Lifelong Republican David Goss was chatting with his conservative friends in February when the idea for the site struck him after a pal told him of a bad dating experience.

His female friend told him after she revealed her political leanings to a Hilary Clinton supporting man she was having dinner with he upped and left, even leaving her to pick up the bill.

The 35-year-old associate TV produce from California told the NY Post: “I think there’s a special stigma when people say they’re supporting Trump, because of some of the brash things that he’s said.

"That immediately gets [projected] on his supporters, and it makes it hard for them when trying to date.”

More than 500 Trump fans have signed up for the service since it went live last month with most living in New York, Washington D.C. and LA.

As with most dating sites users can search for partners by age, location and interests.

But although it's free to sign up they can only send one message a day unless they fork out $4.95 (£3.42) a month.

David confessed he was concerned people would think it was a parody site but said users have told him " they’re so happy they can finally go on dates without worrying about political differences.”

TrumpSingles user Richard, who asked that his last name not be used for privacy reasons, agreed adding:

“Trump is bastardised and demonised in the media, so I kind of keep to myself that I’m a Trump supporter because people can have a violent reaction to it."

mber Williams, a 34-year-old paralegal based in LA, says she signed up for the site because most of the guys in her area are Bernie Sanders supporters.

She said: “I hate bringing up political views on a first date, since my friends have gotten in political arguments on their dates."

Amber is set to go on a date with a Trump supporter she matched with on the site soon.

TrumpSingles plans to launch a mobile app in the coming week.
