Police charge man, 26, following horror crash in Warrington
A TEENAGE boy left for dead in a suspected hit-and-run can be seen battered and bruised in his hospital bed in shocking pictures released by his family.
Jack Emson, 15, was knocked down as he crossed the road the A57 Sankey Way, in Warrington, with a group of friends.
The driver failed to stop at the scene, but police are investigating whether a car found abandoned nearby is linked to the hit-and-run.
His family say they took pictures of the Penketh High School pupil in a bid to shock people into helping them track down the driver.
Dad Ian Powell, 40, said: ";We are all angry and upset by what has happened.
"Jack has six siblings and they are all shook up and gutted that anyone could do this to their brother."

He added: "We took the pictures to shock people into helping us to find out any names and addresses.
"The public have been great - we can't thank them enough."
Jack, from Warrington, suffered a broken leg and wrist and bruises and cuts all over his body following the horror crash on Wednesday, June 1 at around 8.15pm.
He also needed surgery on his eye but is now recovering back at home after being discharged from Alder Hey Hospital.
Cheshire Police today confirmed that a 26-year-old man from Warrington has been arrested and has since been charged with driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with the law and failing to stop after a road accident.
He was also charged with failing to report an accident and using a motor vehicle in a public place without third party insurance.
He is due to appear at Halton Magistrates’ Court on July 12.
