Sources say bosses at the platform are prepared to make a seven-figure offer, reports.
It comes after the platform signed former US First Lady Michelle Obama, who has since recorded a series of podcasts touching on topics ranging from friendships to the coronavirus pandemic.
Insiders at Spotify said Meghan will be able to "name her price".
"Of course, money is no object," the source said.
"Meghan Markle will be more or less able to name her price for exclusively working with them on a podcast series.
"The Duke and Duchess have been on their hit list for a while.
"A detailed proposal is set to be presented to Meghan's US agent in a matter of weeks."
Spotify, which is worth around £22billion, has 120 million subscribers worldwide.
Since lockdown, it's gained 2.5 million listeners in the UK alone.
It's understood to be just one of the top companies asking to work with the royal couple since they moved to a £14million mansion in Santa Barbara, California.
A spokeswoman for Spotify declined to comment.
It comes as the couple reportedly plan to spend next summer in the UK.
The claims were made by the co-author of bombshell biography Finding Freedom.
Speaking on podcast Heirpod, Omid Scobie said that with the Invictus Games, the Trooping of the Colour and their charity work, the pair will be spending time in Britain.
There is also the unveiling of a statue of Princess Diana, taking place on what would have been her 60th birthday, July 1.
'OF COURSE, MONEY IS NO OBJECT'
Prince Harry and Prince William recently announced plans for the statue in a joint statement.
The artwork was originally commissioned in 2017 to mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales and to recognise her positive impact on the world.
In a rare statement, William and Harry said: "Our mother touched so many lives.
"We hope the statue will help all those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on her life and her legacy."
And Prince Harry said only coronavirus has stopped him from returning home to the UK sooner.
