Brown sauce and mustard stashes have also dwindled in the nationwide condiment crisis.

A customer at The Coinage Hall in Helston, Cornwall, said: “I went to get some from the condiments table and there was none left.

“I felt robbed. Our fish and chips were ruined.”

An employee at The Gateway pub in East Didsbury, south Manchester, told an undercover Sun reporter: “We’ve not had any ketchup for weeks.

'I FELT ROBBED'

“It’s the great tomato sauce scandal.”

The Three Hulats in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, had run out of ketchup sachets yesterday, as had The Dragon Inn in Birmingham.

Other pubs hit include The Square Peg in Birmingham and The Old Unicorn in Leeds.

A spokesman for JD Wetherspoon — which reopened 844 of its 873 pubs on July 4 with safety measures — said: “We apologise to customers.

“We are working with our suppliers to resolve the issue as soon as possible.”

Heinz said: “Unfortunately, there was some flooding in our Telford factory.

“The good news is that all our lines are back up and running and we are working hard to return to full supply.”
