EU vote website crashes less than an hour before referendum registration deadline
CALLS for cut-off date to be pushed back as Government site glitch stops wannabe voters from signing up
A LAST-minute push for voters to sign up for the EU referendum was in tatters last night as the Government's registration website crashed in the run-up to the deadline.
Politicians and members of the public have expressed their fury at the web failure, which could leave thousands of voters without a say on June 23.
It is thought the Remain camp will be worst affected by the glitch, which saw potential voters turned away with an error message.
It read: "Sorry we are having technical problems.
"Please try again in a few moments."
They can’t get anything right, can they? This is a massive vote for my generation, the website going down will affect more young people I would expect.

EU supporters hoped some of the hundreds of thousands of younger voters -- who are more likely to support Remain -- might register in a final rush before Tuesday's 11:59pm deadline.
But the site crash left potential voters wanting.
