Mircea-Stefan Ivanescu was killed in a 'horrible accident'
A DEVASTATED dad says he is struggling to cope with the loss of his "beautiful child" who died just five days after arriving in the UK.
Three-year-old Mircea-Stefan Ivanescu died after being hit by a 4x4 playing with his sister outside his new home in a quiet north-London cul-de-sac on Thursday.
Speaking at the family home on Lowther Road, Queensbury, north London, his father Mircea said: "It is so hard for me.
"Please don't ask about the accident because it it too hard for me to talk about.
"He was a beautiful child. He had only been here five days.
"I came here one year ago to make a home for my wife and my family and to have a good life.
"I work all the time, I pay my taxes - to lose my son after five days is just... It's so tragic.
"It's a big, big pain for me. I have people in my community and people I know in London who are helping me so much with my mind.
"They call me and send me messages to stay strong for my family."

Little Mircea-Stefan Ivanescu had just moved to London from Romania with his mum and sister to join Mircea before tragedy struck.
Neighbours say they heard the driver screaming as she ran out to help the little boy.
Emergency services tried to resuscitate Mircea-Stefan in the street, but he was pronounced dead in the ambulance just after 6.30pm.
Residents nearby have left flowers and messages of condolence outside the Ivanescu family home in the wake of the devastating incident.
Mircea added: "When I came to England I chose this road because it is closed, there is not much traffic, it's so quiet.
"To lose a son like this is just... I can't think about it.
"I am trying I stay strong as a father, but my daughter and my wife cannot speak."

Romanian Mircea, who works as a plumber, said he was keen to get back to work as soon as possible to keep his mind off the tragedy.
He said: "I'm returning to work next week. I need to keep busy and to keep my mind busy. I cannot stay here and think about this all day.
"My employers have helped me so much and given me lots of support."
Speaking about the lady who was driving the 4x4, Mircea said: "Police tell me that the driver was not drunk, had no drugs or anything so what can I say?
"It's a horrible accident."
