Woman to stand trial accused of the murder of her sister at the home they shared
Sabah Khan, 26, will go on trial in November accused of sister Saima's murder
THE sister of a woman found dead in a pool of blood at her home is to stand trial accused of her murder.
Sabah Khan appeared at Luton Crown Court today after she was arrested last week for the murder of her sister Saima Khan.
Mum-of-four Saima, 34, was found at her home in Overstone Road, Luton, Bedfordshire, at around 11.30pm on May 23.
The care worker's throat was slit with a shard of glass, unconfirmed reports suggested, while her family - including her parents and her taxi driver husband Hafeez Rehman - attended a funeral at a local mosque.
Sabah Khan, who also lived with her family at the address in Overstone Road, was arrested last week by detectives and charged with her sister's murder.
During today's hearing the 26-year-old entered no plea to a charge of murder.
She was remanded in custody and will stand trial on November 21.
