Dad’s anger after commuters refused to help son and even RAN OVER his body on motorway after bridge fall
Heartbroken Johnathon McHale plunged to his death
A HEARTBROKEN teenager was “run over like an animal” by motorists who failed to stop as his lifeless body lay at the bottom of a motorway bridge.
Tragic Johnathon McHale, 19, was repeatedly struck by vehicles on the M1 near Milton Keynes days after discovering his ex-girlfriend had met someone else.
His devastated dad John McHale has told of his anger towards the drivers who refused to pull over after his son jumped to his death.
“People say I should be strong but that was my son,” he said.
“We still can't understand how drivers never stopped and continued to hit him over and over like an animal until he was in bits across three lanes.
“To drive home with parts of our son on your car and lorry and think it's OK is not acceptable by any stretch.
“I don't accept that people didn't see him.”
Popular Johnathon, from Newport Pagnell, was said to be devastated after splitting up with his long-term girlfriend.
Soon after finding out she was seeing someone else, the 19-year-old disappeared from his family home prompting a massive search for the teen.
The horrific story unfolded live on social media in January as his dad and mum Debbie made a desperate plea for help on Facebook.

Two and a half hours later heartbroken Mr McHale posted a single word
– “ARRRRRRGGGGGGGG”.
It came after police had told him that the body of a young man had been found on the motorway near Newport Pagnell at around 1.15am on Friday, January 8.
His photographer dad, John said: “Not only did our son die of a broken heart, he was then shown no respect by people more intent in making a delivery or getting home.
“What a scummy race we can be.”
We loved him in life as we will love him in death.

Elizabeth Grey, assistant coroner at Milton Keynes Coroner's Court, recently concluded that his death was suicide, after finding notes he left behind following the break-up.
In a message to his son on the day of his funeral, John wrote: “Today we lay our son to rest amongst family and friends.
“The loss of Johnathon will remain like a dagger in our hearts forever.
"We loved him in life as we will love him in death.
“Our boy, our son, we will do our best for you today and re-unite with you another.
"Sleep well until then son. We love you.”
Johnathon’s distraught family and friends have so far raised £3,099 to buy a bench in his memory.
They say they can't face returning to the spot where he died.
John added: “Sadly, although the bridge is where Johnathon died it is not the best place for him to be remembered.
“It is not a peaceful place and made worse knowing what happened. Johnathon's friends and family need a more appropriate place to visit.
“The bench is for his friends to sit with him and reflect without cars and wagons going by."
The bench will be place opposite a memorial in Tickford Cemetery, Newport Pagnell.
