A TEENAGE girl has been charged with GBH with intent after a model was left in a coma when she was smashed by a speeding car in what is believed to be a deliberate attack.
Faye Townsend, 23, was walking along a narrow country lane near Romsey in Hampshire, when she was viscously mowed down and left for dead.
The glamorous model and dancer suffered serious head injuries and spent weeks in Southampton General Hospital, where she was briefly in a coma, following the attack in December 1.
Chantelle Matthews, 18, from Totton in Hampshire, has now been charged with GBH with intent.
The teen is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday June 28.
Police spoke with over 100 motorists while investigating the savage attack which they believe was targeted.

On social media, Faye’s friends showed their support while she was in hospital with the hashtag #prayforfaye.
The blonde beauty eventually regained consciousness and was able to return home to celebrate Christmas with her family in the village of Wellow.
She later posted on her Facebook page “I am alive”, which attracted hundreds of likes from friends, loved-ones and well-wishers.
Ambitious Faye has her own website which she uses to promote herself professionally.
She describes herself as "well spoken, educated, confident and adaptable".
"I'm very positive, determined and am happy working with new people.
"I love to learn new things and I find it all so exciting, so I'm very enthusiastic.
"I'm determined to work hard and will push myself to the highest limits to ensure the job is done amazingly and, as always, professionally."
Her profile says she worked for Glam Entertainment Enterprise Limited and Pure Space Studios in London.
Talented Faye is also a dancer and actress and received a merit in performing arts after completing a course that included a brief spell at Eastleigh College.
She posted: "I love everything about this industry, from being made up and posing away to meeting new people and making friends.
"I've always been a hard worker and I intend to keep going and going, always pushing myself.
"My ultimate goal is to be a successful model. I just need to be given the chance to show how capable I am."
Speaking after the incident, Angela Ratcliffe, chairman of Wellow Parish Council, said: "I've seen Faye in the local shop and when I went in there the other day everyone was talking about it.
"I was shocked when I heard – you don't expect that sort of thing in the village.
"Everyone is hoping she makes a full recovery."
