It had 45.1 cases per 100,000 people, coming after Leicester, Oldham and Blackburn with Darwen at the top spot.
The new lockdown rules, enforced from July 31 2020, have caused havoc for those celebrating Eid - the annual Islamic festival for Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son to Allah.
It was said that cancelling Eid would be "like cancelling Christmas."
What are the lockdown rules in Bradford?
Bradford will mirror policies implemented for cities already in local lockdown and those used for the national lockdown.
Residents will be banned from meeting people from other households, whether they live in affected areas or not.
They cannot meet people from other households in indoor public venues, including pubs, restaurants and places of worship.
Visits to friends and family in care homes is also out, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
The Government has not said what these include but said: "Care homes should restrict visits to these circumstances."
From Saturday 1 August, indoor gyms, indoor fitness and dance studios, indoor sports courts and facilities, and indoor swimming pools, including indoor facilities at water parks, will have to close down again.
One household can still meet with another person who lives alone if they are in their support bubble.
Groups of six people can still meet outdoors provided they social distance.
Police can enforce the rules with a £100 fine (reduced to £50 if paid within two weeks).
How long will the lockdown last?
There is no set date for when lockdown will be reviewed, but Leicester was subject to a check-up every two weeks.
If this rule is followed for the latest areas to go into lockdown, the next review will be around August 12.
Will pubs and restaurants close?
Unlike for Leicester when it first went into lockdown, pubs and restaurants will stay open.
But residents in Bradford will not be allowed to meet people from other households when going there and nor should they sit near or socialise with other tables.
While fines will enforce the rules, it is unclear how effective they will be in keeping this rule.
What areas are affected by lockdown?
‘Bradford’ refers to the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council.
It is one of several locations to be added to the list under lockdown after suffering a surge in cases.
