Incredible moment two road rage drivers get out of their vehicles on the M5 and start trading blows
One of the men is floored by the punches in shocking scenes captured on dashcam
A ROAD rage fight spilled out onto a busy motorway when two drivers got out of their cars to trade blows.
The shocking scenes were captured on dashcam and show one of the men floored by the punches.
The incident happened during rush hour on the M5 after a people carrier appeared to cut in front of a van.
The van driver was forced to slam on his brakes and he is seen jumping out of his vehicle to confront the other motorist.
The pair both leave their vehicles and the driver in the van, which is labelled as belonging to Highways Agency service provider Carnell, pushes the other motorist.
After both men throw punches the van driver – dressed in a high-vis jacket – is knocked to the floor.
The driver of the people carrier – dressed in a blue shirt – waits as the other man finds his feet before they continue to row.
Other drivers stay in their cars as the fight breaks out in the standstill traffic.
Eyewitnesses say the Volkswagen owner appeared to have a young girl in the back of his car.
They said he had “repeatedly” been swapping lanes prior to the fight.
Joe Mather caught the motorway maul on his dashcam as he was sat waiting for the cars to move.

He said: "I sat there in disbelief.
"The Volkswagen had been swapping lanes without indication repeatedly.
"Not long before this he pulled in front of my car in the same manner.”
As the traffic slowed near Junction 4A for the Wednesbury M42 on May 25 around 5pm the two men jumped out of their cars and came to blows.
Joe added: "I couldn't hear their argument. I just kept my windows up and wasn't getting involved.
"The bloke in the VW must have annoyed a number of other drivers doing the same and to the end of the video you see him cutting lanes again.
"It appeared like he had a young girl of around five or six-years-old in the back seat.
"There was at least one other passenger in the front seat too.
"There was another lad in the van who jumped out but didn't get involved."
Following the brawl last week the two men get back in their own vehicles before the traffic begins to move off.
A spokesperson from Carnell said: "We have no comment."
