Paduano, who works as a security guard, left his post at 3am to wait outside the house of his ex-girlfriend.
When the girl left her house, he pursued her in his car, forcing her car to pull over.
Jumping out, he torched the girl’s car then chased after her.
Silipio said: "He got into her car, and after an argument, doused the car (interior) with a small bottle of alcohol, and doused Sara, too,"

Monteleone hoped that the incident would help to persuade women “not to look the other way”.
She advised women "not to keep hidden any threatening behavior by those who insist they love you, but it's not that way."

Chamber of Deputies President Laura Boldrini echoed Monteleone’s pleas.
The top lawyer, who was a victim of an acid attack by an ex-boyfriend, said that women "must understand that those who should be ashamed are the violent ones, not the women who suffer threats."
