MEGHAN Markle has taken a veiled swipe at the Queen in a message to an online conference for young women.
The former actress, 38, urged them to make people in power “feel uneasy” and challenge the “status quo” until it “snaps”.
It comes just days after she sat beside Prince Harry, 35, as he urged the Commonwealth to own up to its “past wrongs” in a similar video address.
Both were made at the borrowed Beverly Hills mansion where the couple have exiled themselves with their 14-month-old son Archie.
Meghan made the ten- minute pre-recorded video for the United Nations Girl Up 2020 leadership summit.
Introduced as “The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle”, she urged viewers to put pressure on those in “places of power”.
She said leaders “don’t listen until they have to”, adding: “Keep challenging, keep pushing, make them a little uncomfortable. Don’t be afraid to do what you know is right even when it’s not popular.”
In apparent defence of her decision to quit royal duties to live in LA with Harry, she said: “Your gut will tell you what’s right and what’s wrong; what’s fair and unfair.
“The hardest part — and it was the hardest part for me — is to chase your convictions with action.”
Turning momentarily from the camera, she said: “I will be cheering you on, so will my husband, so will Archie, as you all continue marching, advocating, leading the way.”
