'Violence solves everything'

Steroid-fuelled personal trainer jailed for 15 years for raping one client and attempting to rape another woman

Francis Skachill threw victim against a radiator, choked her and said: 'I'm a caveman,' adding 'violence solves everything'

A STEROID-fuelled personal trainer who raped one of his clients and then attempted to rape another woman while he was still on bail for the first attack has been jailed.

“Caveman” Francis Skachill, 39, who had a history of violence, took cocaine and anabolic steroids to increase his sexual appetite before committing his sick crimes.

The “vulnerable” rape victim met her attacker after deciding to get a personal trainer to tone up her body.

But the court heard how instead of helping to boost her confidence, manipulative Skachill isolated her from friends and family and controlled her using violence and fear.

Prosecutor Justin Hayhoe said: “He was intimidating, controlling and jealous and he also introduced her to cocaine.

“This is a substance he used frequently, one which increased his desire for sex. He would tell the victim that it was them against the world, knowing he had isolated her from her family and that she was very vulnerable.

“She gained a little weight and he used this to humiliate her. He told her she was a bit fat and she did not like getting undressed with the lights on. She did not like him seeing her without clothes on.”

The abuse culminated in the vile pervert raping the woman after throwing her around the room like a ragdoll.

The court was told how Skachill – who liked to show off pics of his six-pack and muscles on social media – hurled his victim against a radiator and choked her, telling her she deserved it.

He told the woman, known only as Miss A: “I believe violence solves everything,” adding: “I am a caveman and this is my way of dealing with things.”

Unbelievably, after being arrested over the attack and later bailed, cocky Skachill tried to rape a second woman after meeting her online in November 2014.

He tore off her clothes and slapped her around as she tried to fight him off, after arriving at her home uninvited.

Mr Hayhoe said: “His victim managed to kick him off the bed, using all of her strength, but her children – who were present at the property – heard the sound of both their mother being slapped and the thud as he fell from the bed.

“One of the children saw him naked at the property.”

Skachill, of Higher Broughton, near Salford, Greater Manchester, was found guilty of rape, attempted rape and assault and sentenced to 15 years in prison at Minshull Street Crown Court.

The sexual predator has a string of previous convictions, including for grabbing a policeman’s testicles and cutting off his ex’s hair and biting her chest in a coke-fuelled rage.

Judge Stuart Driver QC told him: “You will not be released from custody until you are considered safe. I am certain that you are not now.”
