Bronzed Joey Essex flirted up a storm with television presenter Kay Burley

REALITY star Joey Essex charmed his way out of revealing how he plans to vote in the upcoming EU referendum by flashing his pearly white smile at Sky News presenter Kay Burley.

The former I’m a Celebrity contestant was promoting his brand new series of ITV2’s Educating Joey Essex, which sees the him interview leading politicians ahead of the vote on Europe.

But when presenter Kay Burley asked the former TOWIE star if he thought Britain should leave the EU, the bronzed young man remained tight-lipped.

“I don’t know myself yet, I’ve only just started this journey,” he said.

Despite being pushed for an answer, Joey successfully flirted his way out of answering Kay who was later praised by her Twitter followers for not “mocking” him.

Instead she allowed viewers to hear his views on Jeremy Corbyn, Nick Clegg and Nigel Farage.

“I think Nick Clegg comes across as honest,” he said.

“I don’t know if he’s fibbing or putting on a front.”


He added: “Nigel is very outspoken and in your face – he doesn’t care about much. He’s not my friend, but he’s a nice guy. He invited me to have a pint with him but I didn’t turn up.

“But they’re all politicians in it for the same reason – they all want to win.”

He told Kay Nigel Farage’s Brexit “crew” were more passionate in their campaign, but said he believed the public’s views were 50/50.

The pair laughed and joked all the way through the interview as Kay tried to find out Joey’s political views

He then opened up about kids coming up to him in the street to thank them for his TV series that saw him get involved in last May’s general election.

As the interview ended, Joey impressed Kay by saying: “Ain’t the EU referendum every 45 years?”

But he then said: “How many year’s are there left in the world? 1000?”

Many viewers tweeted about how much they enjoyed the interview.
