POULTRY eaters were turned off their food after a clip emerged of a factory worker stamping on chicken wings in a bid to defrost the meat.

Bizarre footage shows the worker, dressed in overalls and white rubber boots, sticking his foot into a tray of meat.

The man, who works at a factory in Poland, says that he is defrosting the chicken wings.

The chicken wings are already swilling in a tray of their own defrosted juices when the clip starts.

At one point he has both boots in the tray of watery chicken.

After stamping in the meat, the worker takes his booted foot out of the tray to pour the wings into a bigger box.

The dirty fluid spills onto the ground while most of the chicken is caught in a white box.

Some wings miss the box and flop onto the dirty ground.

The 15-second clip has turned the stomachs of audiences across the world

Online commenters said that the worker must be Ukrainian, judging by his accent.

In the clip he says: "Working on defrosting chicken in Poland."

Within days, the horrific video has gone viral across social media platforms.

But the clip has now been taken down.

Even though online audiences have been left fuming about the lack of hygiene in factories, there is very little food regulation officers can do.

It is unknown which factory this clip was recorded in.

Ukrainians are by far the largest group of foreign workers in Poland, making up at least 80 percent of all registered employees from abroad.

But there are reportedly even more illegal migrants from the Ukraine, with an estimated one million currently working in Poland.
