A MOTORIST was impaled on a two-metre-long stick of bamboo that punctured his lung and missed his heart by millimetres – and SURVIVED.
The unnamed man was struck by the stick when he drove right into the back of a truck carrying sticks of bamboo.
Local media claims the man was not paying attention when the smash occurred on a busy road in the city on April 28.
Incredible footage shows the moment the remarkably calm victim hops up onto a hospital bed with the giant stick plunged directly through his chest and out through his back.
Medics and firefighters carefully manoeuvre the man around the operating bed as they prepare to operate on him.
Miraculously he is now recovering after a two-hour operation to remove the stave.
Firefighters had to cut some of the stick away at the scene of the accident in Ruijin city, China.
He is now said to be in a stable condition and recovering in hospital after surgery on his punctured lung and wounds to his chest and back.
