Shocking video of schoolgirl, 15, being kicked and stamped in the head by a 17-year-old girl in brutal assault
The horrific video shows the girl being savagely beaten by another teenager in what would seem to be an unprovoked attack
VIDEO footage showing a young girl cowering on the ground as she is viciously attacked by another teenager has gone viral.
The minute-long clip, filmed by an onlooker, shows a prolonged assault by a blonde teen against her victim who suffers a busted nose.
In the video, 15-year-old victim Ellie Walker is walking along a road in Leeds with a friend when they notice a gang is following them.
Things begin to turn nasty however when one of the group - a blonde girl she'd never seen before - shouts to Ellie; "I'm not having you dirty looking me".
Moments later the girl begins shouting at an unsuspecting Ellie and pushes her repeatedly.
She then backs a terrified Ellie against a wall and starts to knee the schoolgirl in the face and land punch after punch on her.
As Ellie cowers on the floor, the blonde girl stands over her and kicks out, before a man in a grey hooded top grabs the attacker and pulls her off.
The film then shows Ellie fleeing across the road as the blonde girl screeches and wrestles against the man holding her back - before eventually breaking free and chasing after the 15-year-old.
The girl continues her sickening attack on Ellie who by that point is curling up on the floor trying to protect her head from the teenager's crushing blows.
Chillingly you can hear her screaming throughout the shocking footage - which has now been viewed over two million times.
Since the incident two weeks ago cops have confirmed a 17-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with the attack - but Ellie's mum Caroline Collett, 34, says she isn't happy about how they are dealing with it.
She said: "I was quite angry how the police have dealt with it.
"The police have seen the video and when they came out they did say if we didn't have the video then we would have no evidence.
"I find it a disgrace. We've tried to do the right thing but they don't want to know."
The mum-of-six said watching the video of the brutal attack on her daughter was "heartbreaking".
According to her mum, Ellie ran straight home after the bashing, but the family didn't report the incident to the police until after a friend of Ellie's spotted the video on Facebook the next day.
Caroline claims the mum of the attacker had got in touch to see if Ellie was ok.
"She said she was really, really sorry, but it's not her fault," Caroline said.
"We are not blaming the family. We are blaming the police and the girl that has done it."
Stay-at-home mum Caroline said she feels fortunate Ellie didn't suffer any serious injuries but is worried about the emotional damage caused.
She said: "She's not the same confident girl she was a week and a half ago.
"She's never been in trouble before. She is really quiet and polite to people she doesn't know."
Ellie added: "I feel I can't go out of the house because I might bump into her.
"I have been out since I was attacked but I don't like to stay out too long.
"I was really shaken up by the attack and I didn't expect it at all. I felt that if she hit me in the wrong place I could have been in hospital.
"I felt really down and numb."
But fragile Ellie said she had been buoyed by support from comments on Facebook and from her friends.
"It has made me feel more confident and knowing people are on my side is helping me a lot," she said.
"My friends have also been very supportive and have come round to cheer me up."
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "On April 18, police received a report of a 15-year-old girl having been assaulted by another girl in Hunslet Road, Leeds, at about 7.30pm on April 16.
