THIS shocking CCTV footage captures the disgusting moment an Amazon delivery driver spits on a customer’s doorstep after dropping off a package.

The covert camera shows the driver standing on the customer's doorstep and ringing the bell before aiming a huge ball of saliva on to the path.

Tom Aldridge installed the tiny camera on his doorbell for security reasons and was horrified to later discover this footage.

Richard, Tom's brother, opened the front door to accept a package at the pair's house in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, and only noticed the courier's vile behaviour when they checked the camera later.

Tom, a 23-year-old retail worker and student, said: "It's unprofessional, disrespectful and disgusting. It's a really dirty thing to do.

"If anyone else came and spat on your doorstep it wouldn't be acceptable, so it shouldn't be for them.

"I know the drivers probably don't get paid that much but you expect a basic level of customer service."

Tom, an Amazon Prime customer, had ordered a fire blanket and some LED bulbs as part of a makeover he and his brother were giving the house.

They watched the footage back just hours after the delivery was made last Monday by an Amazon Logistics courier.

Tom said: "I complained to Amazon that I expected better than that from their drivers but they didn't seem to take it seriously.

"I order a lot from them but this has really put me off. It just goes to show what people will do when they think they can get away with it.

An Amazon spokesman said: "We take any complaint of this nature extremely seriously and are working with the delivery company which is investigating the matter."
